Biography
Born in East Africa, with a call to social activism, education and healing, it has been a privilege to serve in the civil society sector in a Country that has undergone so much change already.
Her PASSION is to re-introduce pathways combining indigenous knowledge systems with innovative and practical steps to realize right livelihood, happiness and peace.
Her DREAM is that we may discover and learn how to live in harmony with each other and Nature, and in community were where children are safe and revered as living ‘beings’ unfolding their Bright Futures in this new era for the World.
Her VISION I see Africa as a thriving continent in which we demonstrate ‘Ubuntu’ in a real, fair and just manner to the betterment of the whole. (Ubuntu is an ancient African word meaning ‘humanity to others’. It also means ‘I am what I am because of who we all are’.
How Anne-Lise Would Change the World – using Novalis to continue supporting intergenerational change-makers locally and globally, to unlock potential together. We will do this by continuing to refine our Holistic Adult Education Programme combining innovative education principles, case studies and research with advocacy.
We will continue to inspire HOPE in teachers, caregivers & youth leaders, and encourage Ubuntu values as building blocks for strengthening communities, seeded and made famous by Nelson Mandela who said: ‘Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world’
